Equia Forte – High Caries Risk Patient

In this clinical case, a high caries risk patient receives the first treatment which includes prophylaxis, scaling and provisional restorations with Equia Forte (Glass Hybrid) aiming the stabilization of the oral health environment while the treatment plan is designed and executed. Before the provisional restoration is done, gengivectomy and partial carries excavation were performed with laser Biolase. The use of a glass ionomer in this situation is well indicated due to its biocompatibility, fluoride release, chemical adhesion to tooth structure, sealing ability and potential remineralizing effect.
